Help me plz....hosting ppl are not giving my database :(?

I purchased UK hosting for my site. I hired a Indian programmer to work on my site and by mistake due to wrong coding around 8000 emails were sent to his own id through the hosting server and the web host has stopped my site and he is not returning my site%26#039;s database.

I dont have a backup :(

The hosting people are telling this it is a SPAM, but it is not. Due to coding error the emails were sent to the 2 programmer id%26#039;s only and not to anybody else%26#039;s email id.

Please reply, what I should do to get back my database of the site

Tell the hosting company that the emails were only sent to the programers themselves, if they say otherwise, ask for proof stating their claim.

It may be a possibility that the indian programmers you hired really were spammers and just used the hosting you provided to spam.

Thats what you get for out-sourcing something like that. My dumbass friend out-sourced to a programmer in India also and paid $10,000 and waited over 6 months and still didn%26#039;t get what he wanted. I could have done it here for $5,000 in one month, but he never asked me.

Its not possible to imbed it into the html code so try changing the sizes and other properties.

Hi Sandra,

When you upload an image to ebay they will check the image to see if it is optimised for the web, if it is not their software will optimise the image, and reduce the size of the image file so it displays quickly on their site.

If you have fireworks you can prepare the image to be optimised for the web using the following steps:

1. Open image in fireworks

2. Select File%26gt;Image Preview

A new window will open and you can select various formats, I.e. GIF, JPEG. Also the size and dimensions can be easily adjusted here.

The 2 tabs at the top left of this window, OPTION %26amp; FILE, allow you to crop parts of the image, reduce the dimensions, etc, etc.

Test a few images, should reduce the distortion appearing when you upload to ebay, depending upon these variables.

I just signed up for Yahoo! small business about a week ago. i recieved a confirmation e-mail saying that my web site was now actie. I try signing into the web hosting site and a unable to find whee the control panels are to be able to work on my site. I have searched everywher and everything that i read keps telling me that I should have a completely differrnt looking scren whenver I sign in. But I don%26#039;t. Any thoughts s to what I might be dong wrong? This is frustrating!!

I have build a few business websites with yahoo. This is what I do to get into the control panel -

1. Open internet explorer and go to www.yahoo.com

2. Click %26quot;Web Hosting%26quot; in the Small Business Panel (on the new yahoo look it%26#039;s on the left under all the quick links to Autos, Finance, games, and yellow pages and all that.

3. At the very top of the screen, there%26#039;s a sign-in link, click it and sign into yahoo with your account and password that you subscribed to Yahoo Web Hosting with.

4. That should go immediately to your web hosting control panel. If it doesn%26#039;t, you%26#039;ll be in the genernic hosting web panel, your website%26#039;s domain name will be there along with three links, click %26quot;Web Hosting Control Panel%26quot; and that will take you to where you need to be to create your website.

Hi. My host has 'lost' my web site has has not been able to find their backups for 2 weeks

I run an ecommerve site and two weeks ago my host %26#039;lost%26#039; my site - they are still not sure what has happened.

They can also not find any of their daily backups of the site.

So far I would estimaet I have lost about $8,000.00 in sales. not to mention my entire customer database.

Can I sue them for lost revenue - does anyone know a law firm that would handle this type of case?
